Thought for the Day--February 4, 2011: Steady as She Goes...

Inch by inch, ounce by ounce, steady as she goes. It's a process. The pounds didn't appear overnight, so don't expect them to slide off overnight. And during this process, enjoy life and what you eat. If you deprive yourself totally, it is likely you will backslide.

Thought for the Day--January 25, 2011: Use Your Extra Points

Eat some extra food today, but make sure it's something you really love. Today's not a holiday, just an ordinary old Tuesday, so it's a good practice day, without relatives, friends, and enablers around to pressure you. Might as well begin living in the real world. Also, losing weight slowly will give you the best chance of maintaining your weight loss. These day-to-day thoughts may seem contradictory, but isn't life like that?

I don't mind losing weight slowly. Getting there should be twice the fun! Otherwise, why bother?
